Avoiding Unit Errors in Surface Area Records

Record units before calculating area. For a rectangular top, convert both dimensions to metres: 80 × 150 cm becomes 0.8 × 1.5 m, or 1.2 m². This geometric area does not include cutting layout, edges, waste or price. Practice with a 90 × 180 cm rectangle and explain why 1.62 m² is not final roll consumption.
